Job Description

Within the Digital department of LVMH group, the AI Factory’s mission is to craft proprietary and responsible AI to support the business of our Maisons globally.

These human-centered AI are leveraging data to support major Client Development, Omni retail, Media and Operations initiatives. Examples of possible use cases include customer segmentation, product recommendation, sales forecast, optimization of supply operations, churn prediction, customer comments analysis and understanding…


The AI Factory, together with business experts and tech engineers, designs and builds innovative AI models, responsible by design, with cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence techniques (supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Time series forecast, Reinforcement Learning, Graph & Network Theory,…), industrializes them on a state of the art AI platform and seeks high business impact.


To make them reusable for other business contexts, other use cases and other data, all AI algorithms are thoroughly packaged by the AI Factory. It implies best practices of code, collaborative Data Science, and MLOps techniques.


Reporting to the Chief Applied Innovation Officer of LVMH group, you will be accountable for the design of the group AI & Generative AI strategy, the build & deployment of AI algorithms to serve all requesting LVMH Maisons on the whole value chain, and the upstream AI R&D identifying innovative AI technologies useful for LVMH in the long run.


After 4 years of development the AI Factory is now ready to scale. As the Director of the AI Factory, your mission will be to accelerate the adoption of the existing AIs by the Maisons, develop new ones and continue to build robust and sustainable business cases.


In particular, you will play a key role by:

Defining the AI / GenAI algorithmic strategy for the group (partners, tooling, make/buy, business applications,...) and socialize it to key stakeholders

Scaling AI algorithm deployment across Maisons, regions and business domains and raising the level of AI maturity across key business priorities

-

Setting data requirements strategy for AI algorithms together with the Data & Insights team

-

Owning reusable algorithm framework and implementing/packaging the algorithm library for business priorities

-

Testing & benchmarking new technologies (GenAI…) and building innovative prototypes for business usage

-

Defining & building state of the art AI framework: Responsible, Human-centered, Scalable & reliable (MLOps)

-

Managing a world class team of 30 people (internal & external), data scientists, ML engineers and AI Program Managers, towards AI Factory objectives

Building and animating a strong Data Science community across the LVMH group.

Be a trustful partner with different business, with a consulting mindset and strong skills of delivery & upskilling management

Build a common library of algorithms used in a community, with convergent vision and rules/ conventions, and make it adaptable to multiple usages, data, regions...

Organize scientific monitoring, R&D team and scientific partnerships (e.g. Stanford HAI)

-

Involve legal & ethics teams for Responsible AI topic

-

Partner with data owners & IT teams

-

Manage Data Scientists and business owners in an agile mode.



Your background:

-

Senior profile (15+ years of experience), Graduated in Master / Grandes Ecoles or PhD in Machine Learning related fields, with strong experience of supervision and lead of data scientists' team, you are attracted by AI innovation, as well as to AI application for driving business value

-

Very good communication and interpersonal skills, a strong sense of service and pro-activity to build a relationship of trust within a broad scope of stakeholders and teams

-

Robust theoretical and practical knowledge in Data Science and advanced Machine Learning (supervised, unsupervised learning algorithms, Deep Learning, Generative AI, LLMs, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Time series forecast, Reinforcement Learning,…)

-

Experience on ML / GenAI projects in Luxury, Retail, CRM, e-commerce

-

A strong scientific dimension (mathematics, statistics, probability, optimization, etc.)

-

Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Dataiku

-

Ability to express to non-technical / semi-technical audiences the data structure and modeling logic behind your work

-

Fluent in French and English

-

A taste for entrepreneurship and innovation.
