Location: Nottingham

Were seeking a skilled Commercial Claims Handler to manage large-loss domestic and commercial claims from start to finish. Youll be part of a dynamic team in Nottinghamshire, ensuring claims are handled efficiently and stakeholders are kept in the loop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage claims from FNOL to invoicing, coordinating all aspects of Buildings and Contents.
• Create and maintain claims files, updating regularly throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Monitor company emails, ensuring systems, staff, and management are informed.
• Communicate proactively with all stakeholders throughout the claim process.
• Log, manage, and monitor complaint resolutions.
• Book appointments and ensure all required authorizations and permits are secured promptly.
• Schedule and oversee work, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Raise purchase orders, ensuring they match the approved scope of work.
• Act swiftly on all reports, resolving issues before they escalate to formal complaints.

What Were Looking For:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with Business Interruption, Loss of Rent, Plant and Machinery, and Alternative Accommodation claims.
• Excellent decision-making and prioritization skills.
• Highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to handle challenging situations with ease.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• GCSE Maths & English at grade C/Level 4 (required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in property insurance claims.
• Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance.
• UK Driving Licence.
• Strong persuasive communication skills.
