We're currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Tax Manager to join our growing team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The North America Tax Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the tax function, including compliance, tax accounting, tax planning, and tax audits. We're currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Tax Manager to join our growing team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The North America Tax Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the tax function, including compliance, tax accounting, tax planning, and tax audits. The incumbent will serve as the primary business partner to the organization (US/CAN/MEX), providing strategic and technical guidance on all tax matters. Additional responsibilities include:
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations (preparation outsourced).
- Manage the tax provision process, including calculation of quarterly and annual estimated taxes and coordination with accounting.
- Research complex tax issues and develop creative solutions to minimize the organization's tax liability.
- Identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies through process improvements and implementation of new technologies.
- Manage strategy for financing and cash-repatriation.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax law and developments in the tax industry, and provide updates and recommendations to management.
- Serve as a liaison with external tax authorities and respond to inquiries and audits.
- Ensure alignment with and further improvement of the Group Tax strategy in close cooperation with Group Tax.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on tax topics to management, board of directors, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business partners across the organization.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.
- Optimize the operating model in North America.
- Ensure all tax requirements are captured as part of the SAP4 HANA implementation.
- Process optimization/standardization (GST).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 10+ years' experience in tax accounting, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- CPA or other relevant professional certification.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Master's degree in taxation, law, or business administration.
- Experience working in a Big 4 accounting firm or in-house with an international company.
- Extensive knowledge of international tax law.
- Thorough understanding of financial statement analysis.
