Compensation : $59.75 - $59.75 Hourly Client Job Ref ID : ASC-9901|AH-HHC-71269 Start Date : 08/13/2023 End Date : 11/18/2023 Department: Perioperative Care Anc Shift Timings: Morning Shift 08:00 - 20:30 Hours Roles & Responsibilities Monitoring post-operative patients' levels of consciousness during recovery from anesthesia. Measuring and recording patients' vital signs. Closely observing patients for signs of side effects of anethesia medication. Treating pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms of anesthesia. Updating charts, patient files, and medical records. Collaborating with the medical team on post-operative patient care and facilitating timely specialized interventions. Providing comfort and reassurance to distressed post-operative patients and concerned family members. Educating patients and their families on post-surgery care, as well as answering questions. QUALIFICATIONS Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of current RN PACU experience. Graduate from a fully accredited RN program Active unencumbered RN Indiana state license Requirements COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
