Intern -Quality Engineer (May 2025 - 16 months)

As an Intern - Quality Engineer you will be paired with an experienced Quality Engineer as your mentor who will be your guide as you learn our wide range of technologies, while gaining exposure to several product teams. You will participate to deliver software solutions to our pension professionals and develop tools to enhance our internal development capability. During your time at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, you will also explore new technologies and tools unrelated to your regular project work and deliver presentations to your peers. Make a difference in the Product Engineering team Who you'll work with You will be reporting directly to the Manager, Product Engineering and working in an open collaborative space, harnessing the knowledge of your colleagues to ensure the delivery of quality software solutions. With support from a mentor, you will have the opportunity to engage with colleagues across the organization such as business leads, project delivery team and designers. What you'll do Collaborate with your team members to ensure the delivery of quality software to the business while making recommendations for improvement Participate in test scripting and automation scripts and ensuring optimization of test cases Explore new technology and tools and apply this knowledge through solution delivery Identify root cause of issues, debug defects and provide recommendations on solutions Assist in building test automation framework and participate in environment set up Learn the real-world usage of version control and code reviews ( Github ), automated build (Maven/Jenkins), and continuous integration (Atlassian Bamboo) What you'll need Program of study in IT, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Enjoy working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment Interest in technology and innovation, along with Test Scripting & Automation Scripts Experience using object-oriented programming patterns and designs, with exposure to technologies such as: Java, C#, Python, JavaScript frameworks Professional software development experience from previous work terms (preferred but not required ) LI-SS, LI-Hybrid What we’re offering Numerous opportunities for professional growth and development, including lunch and learns Student led team building events on a monthly basis Employee discount programs including Edvantage and Perkopolis At Ontario Teachers', diversity is one of our core strengths.
