Job Description

Are you a Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge? We're hiring in Northampton! Join our dynamic team and be part of a company that values innovation and teamwork.

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be;

Main Duties

Perform general, planned and preventative maintenance work on production process machinery and equipment ensuring their availability to meet production demands
Reactive breakdowns, fault analysis and timely repairs to plant machinery and equipment
Particular attention to mixing plant and extrusion machinery and equipment to deliver increased quality and efficiencies.
Installation, modifications and refurbishment of machinery and equipment, including site utility services, ensuring compliance with relevant pieces of legislation.
Monitor and report status of plant and extrusion machinery as a matter of routine
Participate in regular meetings with Maintenance Manager and other maintenance and production personnel to review status of all plant and machinery and to formulate a schedule of work.
Complete and maintain maintenance activity records, including completion of job cards, completed PM's and follow on actions etc.
Complete and maintain documentation of equipment
Involvement in continuous improvement initiatives that create increased quality and efficiencies.

Mechanical or electrical apprenticeship and / or hold a HNC in Mechanical / Electrical engineering or similar appropriate qualification
18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Turning, milling and bench work along with basic welding and fabrication.
Previous maintenance related experience gained in a manufacturing environment; plastics, extrusion industry desirable.
Have sound mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of the mechanical aspects of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
Possess excellent knowledge and proven competence in general maintenance skills, in particular fault-analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting experience of hydraulics, pneumatics, automated equipment, electrics and electric motors.
Possess the interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills needed to carry out the function effectively and to liaise with other maintenance team members, managers, production supervisors and team members, quality and other plant functions.
Possess the ability to be an effective team player along with the ability to work autonomously as and when required
Be eligible to live and work in the EU, have fluent English, both written and spoken.
