Job Description
Are you a recent graduate or student who is looking for training, support and an opportunity to showcase your skills?
Want to learn from chartered engineers who have knowledge to pass on ?
How about working in a diverse team with men and women both young and more experienced?
Are you interested in joining a team problem solving, calculating designs and selecting appropriate equipment for building solutions?
With these guys you would be in safe hands. This medium sized mechanical and electrical design practice are well versed in developing young engineering students into well rounded engineers. They have trained two fresh graduates recently with huge success which is why they are looking for more.
They know how to train and develop people and have devised a bespoke matrix training programme to assist with learning.
You would join a team of 10 technical staff working in prestigious offices within the grounds of an historical building in the centre of Wigan.
Here's what you would be doing:
* Learning how to calculate electrical design solutions for projects within the built environment.
* Help to create working hotels, schools, offices and manufacturing facilities
* Assisting with cable calculations, small power lighting designs and producing AutoCad drawings
* Working with more senior engineers, visiting buildings, undertaking surveys and listening to client's visions for their idea facility
Here's what you'll need to have:
* Some formal electrical qualifications
* An interest in building designs
* Good software skills
* An appetite for learning, problem solving and a pro-active approach
