About the Opportunity
BEPPS2 is a PPP Major Project to design and construct a new mechanical handling waste storage facility that will safely store waste packages for many years to come. The project status is currently at detailed design.
The candidate must have prior experience working as a Senior Electrical Engineer, ideally incorporated, or chartered (or working towards) with good knowledge of electrical building services design and LV distribution. Ideally, the candidate will have previously supported Major Projects in the Nuclear Decommissioning Sector or gained similar experience in another highly regulated industry.
The role requires that the candidate can attend the client's office on a regular basis in Warrington, Cheshire but also accepts a hybrid working approach with a mix of home working each week. The weekly working hours for this role are 40h p/w.

LV Power & Distribution, Internal & External Lighting, Emergency Lighting, Small Power, Lightning Protection & Equipotential Bonding, Fire Detection & Alarms, Radiological Detection & Alarms, CCTV, Telecommunications.

Other Responsibilities:
- Works independently and can take a lead role as required.
- Authoring/Checking design documentation.
- Can liaise and coordinate with other design disciplines to develop project deliverables.
- Can provide support and oversee a small team of Electrical Engineers.
Here's what you'll need:
- Suitably qualified with extensive knowledge of Electrical Engineering, specifically Electrical Building Services.
- Eligible to apply for UK security clearance (SC).
- Able to produce LV electrical distribution network designs and undertake system analysis. Must be able to produce technical power calculations in Trimble Pro Design (AMTECH).
- Good understanding of LV switchgear and distribution selection and design.
- Can produce and check typical Electrical key deliverables e.g. SLDs, BCDs, Cable routing, cable calculation, small power and lighting design.
- Capable of producing technical lighting calculations in ReLux or DiaLux.
- HNC, HND or Degree
