Hello,
My client in Egham is currently in need of a Grinder due to expansion.
INTRODUCTION:
From the high precision gears manufactured in the early 1960s through to the specialist actuators that are made today, design and engineering innovation have sat at the very core of everything My client do. My client’s impressive pedigree in the Aerospace Defence and Oil and Gas industries is built around the pioneering approach they have always applied to meeting the toughest challenges.
My client’s mission is to be the first-choice supplier of electronic actuation solutions by delivering unique and innovative design and high-quality prototype manufacture.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Cylindrical grinding and surface grinding of high precision components .
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Setting and operating Myford Cylindrical Grinders,
* Cylindrical grinding of small diameter journals to +/- microns in low volume production,
* Fitting and dressing of grinding wheels,
* Using MRP system for attendance and booking on and off works order cards,
* Ensuring that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times,
* Supporting team members with other tasks as and when required,
* Helping to create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety procedures,
* To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Abrasive Wheel Qualification.
* Experience grinding to tight limits (+/- microns).
* Ability to work to drawings, procedures / standards and specifications.
* Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment.
* Understanding of fits and tolerances.
* Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment and be able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
* GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at grade C or above.
* Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent.
* Experience grinding small batch work (Aerospace components).
