Volunteer Lead: Physiotherapist
Based at: The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House
Hours: 2-3 hours a week
Summary and purpose of the seated yoga class
This Role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.
Key Responsibilities of the volunteer
- To work with the Physiotherapist to plan and run a weekly seated yoga class for patients
- To encourage participants to actively engage in their seated yoga programme, providing the appropriate level of support as required.
- To understand the importance of personal and professional boundaries
- To attend all mandatory training as required
- Recognise risk of vulnerable individuals, and report any safeguarding concerns directly to the Therapy Lead or Team Lead as quickly as possible.
- To report any concerns you may have regarding someone’s safety during the session.
Personal Responsibilities
- To seek help and support when needed
- Participate in mandatory training and attend any courses that may be relevant
- Attend volunteer meetings and sessions whenever possible
- To act within scope of your volunteering role at all times
- To share comments or concerns in a timely way to promote early resolution

- Work/experience in healthcare environment (desirable)

Qualifications
- Level 3 Yoga qualification or equivalent
