Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay: £85-£100 per day
Location: Colindale
Job Type: Full Time, Long Term

About the role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant specializing in challenging behaviours, you will play a crucial role in our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes, working closely with our experienced educators to provide tailored support to students who need it most. Your calm, patient demeanor will be essential in helping to create a safe and nurturing learning environment where all students can thrive. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact, helping children overcome barriers to learning and develop the social and emotional skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly in managing challenging behaviours.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing one-on-one support to students with challenging behaviours, helping them to engage positively in the classroom.
• Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
• Supporting the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all students.
• Helping to develop and deliver engaging, differentiated learning activities tailored to the needs of each student.
