Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Technician

DEPARTMENT: Buildings and Grounds

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Buildings and Grounds Department manages all campus buildings and grounds maintenance. The Maintenance Technician will support the team in ensuring timely and efficient maintenance of all campus buildings and grounds.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* General maintenance work and repairs
* Carpentry, Drywall, and Painting
* Plumbing and Electrical
* Operate heavy machinery (Bobcat, Holder, Single man or Scissors lift)
* Snow removal - use shovel, snow blower, plow
* Be on call - Respond to Emergency calls
* Other duties assigned or delegated

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 5 or more years of experience in maintenance.
* Knowledge of small engines
* Knowledge of power tools
* Work in a neat and timely manner

Physical Demands:

* Ability to lift at least 50lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
* Work nights or weekends if needed.

Salary and FLSA Status

* Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 hourly
* FLSA Status: Non-exempt, 40 hours
