Software Developer Intern - SQL focused (Summer 2025)

We are currently seeking an Software Developer Intern - SQL focused to join our Software Development and Analytics team in our Sioux Falls, SD office. The Software Development Intern will help project teams in the design, testing, and implementation of our software for our clients. Interstates seeks ambitious, passionate students to join our team as interns.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist the team design, develop, and implement software
• Database modeling
• Project work researching new ways to serve clients
• Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge and Expertise for this Role

Education/Experience:

• Pursuing a 2- or 4-year degree in computer science, software development, or other related technical field

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with C#, .NET, HTML
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming, user interface development, database systems

Location and Travel

This role is in person and candidate must be located and work out of one of the offices in Sioux Falls, SD (preferred) or Sioux Center, IA. Low amount of travel for this position which will vary according to business requirements.
