Job Description
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Merton.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with Special Educational Needs, providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
Collaborating with the SENCO and other staff members to address individual needs.
Requirements:
A compasisonate, 'can do' attitude and ability to connect with SEN students is the most important thing for this role - we offer accredited training and upskilling for those with the right personailty!
Previous experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.
Relevant qualifications in education or related fields
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Passion for supporting the educational development of students with diverse needs.
