Position: Acoustics Technician
Location: Manchester City Centre
Package & Benefits: £15,000 - £17,000, Study Support, Training, Development, & Progression
Acoustic Technician Role Profile
Here is an exciting opportunity for a college leaver looking to enter the working world instead of university. This client offers study support for an engineering diploma in acoustic engineering with hands-on training and development.
LOCATION: Manchester City Centre Base
UK & European Travel (driving License required)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The duties for the Acoustics Technician opportunity
•Reviewing acoustic theory / UK standards associated with acoustics
•Organising noise/vibration surveys - communicating with clients over email
•Visiting sites to install noise meters (train travel/driving)
•Writing noise reports
•Constructing calculation templates in Excel
•Research projects (absorption materials/acoustic enclosures)
Once the Acoustics technician has started their training, they will:
•Meet clients/visit sites
•Write technical reports/proposals
•Undertake own research projects
•Invoice clients for work undertaken
•Undertake sound insulation tests at sites (airborne and impact)
•Generate new work
The Acoustics Technician will ideally have:
•A-Levels in Physics
•A-Levels in Mathematics
•GCSE in English, Mathematics, and Science
•The ability to problem solve and think outside of the box
