Full Time – Monday to Friday (40 hours)

We are looking for a Sonographer to come and join this prestigious organisation within the Centre of London.


This consultant lead organisation offers a full range of scans that include Early Pregnancy Scans, Reassurance Scans, Sexing Scans, Scan packages, Anomaly Scans, Cervical Scans and Wellbeing scans. Our client uses both 3D and 4D technology to offer a full spectrum maternity service. Alongside this, they offer a variety of Non - Invasive Prenatal Test (NIPT's) and Midwifery scans. Their state-of-the-art facilities are dedicated to give the best patient experience within the remit of women’s health.

Who are we looking for?


We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Fetal Sonographer to set up and lead our sonographer led Fetal Medicine service. You will be well experienced in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Ultrasound and currently be working at a Band 7 level or higher, within a maternity clinic. You may also have a background as a Midwife, who has then continued their career as a Sonographer.


As a Sonographer, you will demonstrate a high clinical level of knowledge. You must be able to demonstrate initiative and prioritise a complex workload whilst working both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Due to the nature of this opportunity, you will be able to set up your service the way you want it with full support of the Centre Director. You will be responsible for creating SOPs, auditing and managing complex ultrasound equipment (Scheduling routine service, replacement and procurement). You will also liaise with the commercial and marketing team and network with key stakeholders as well as GP practices.


You will be working closely with the Consultant and Centre Director on the development of the service, so is a great opportunity to showcase your skills and to put your own mark on the service and support the growth within this prestigious organisation.


Your typical week will be 40 hours from Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 however, this can be flexible depending on your workload and patient lists. There is no weekend work on call involved with this position!

Requirements


  • 5+ years’ experience in Obs and Gynae ultrasound.
  • Experience working at Band 7 level or equivalent.
  • Evidence of academic achievement at a Master’s degree level.
  • Post Graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound.
  • Fully competent in all Fetal Ultrasound scanning including transvaginal, Doppler and Nuchal translucency.
  • Registered Radiographer with HCPC or Registered Midwife with NMC registration is desired but not essential.
