Team lead - Internal Account Manager


Reporting to: Sales Director

Location: South Manchester (Office-based 4 days/week, 1 day remote)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hrs/week)


Salary: £35,000 OTE £45,000 plus Benefits


About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales team leader to join our expanding sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving account growth and managing relationships with key consultants. You'll oversee daily operations of the internal account management team, ensuring targets are met while delivering excellent support to our clients.


Key Responsibilities:


Account Growth:

  • Drive sales growth by increasing enquiries and growing a portfolio of accounts.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with referring consultants in your patch.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for consultants, ensuring smooth resolution of agency queries.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of account activity and consultant profiles using our CRM (Monday.com).
  • Regularly follow up with consultants to ensure needs are being met.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities
  • Conduct umbrella and legislation training for consultants as required.
  • Map medium-sized agencies to identify key decision-makers.


Management:

  • Lead and manage the team, ensuring KPIs and goals are met.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to optimise productivity.
  • Monitor team performance and report regularly to the Sales Director.
  • Identify training needs, provide coaching, and foster a strong team culture.
  • Collaborate with the team to enhance social media presence.


Other Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sales Director with additional tasks as needed.
  • Attend agency visits and hospitality events where required.


About You:

  • Proven experience in a B2B sales environment.
  • Track record of working towards call KPI and sales targets.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organised, with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with CRM systems (preferably Monday.com) and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • (Desirable) Experience in a role combining sales and team management.
  • (Desirable) History of exceeding 50+ calls per day.
