Modem expert with minimum 7-8 years experiences developing and supporting for 5G/4G/3G/2G certifications

Tools:

QPST/QXDM/QCAT/WireShark/GIT/Gerrit/JIRA/IBM Doors/Sharepoint/Confluence

Soft Skiils:

Linux Programming, C/C++ Programming, Wireless Protocol Performance knowledge, 3GPP Specification understanding, OTA Log analysis, 2G,3G,LTE,5G protocol specifications,

Modem Bring up, Integration with Modem Apps and Issue Analysis/Bug Fixing for a Telematics Platform running on Qualcomm 5G chipset.

Good understanding of 2G,3G.LTE, 5G-NR protocol specifications

Good understanding of Modem use case flow for Voice call, Data call, Emergency call and SMS for 2G/3G/LTE/5G-NR

Engineer from Android background should have good understanding of RIL layer and the interfacing between RIL and Modem

Able to troubleshoot Modem performance, throughput issues using tools such as QXDM, Wireshark, QCAT

Able to integrate SW Code fixes, code changes related to Modem SW and HW configurations as per the Carrier/MNO/Customer Requirements

Thorough understanding of Modem SW Architecture, Telematics Platform, RIL and Linux and C/C+= Programming highly desired

Engineer from Non-Android background should have good understanding of Telephony frameworks and their interaction with Modem.

Good Test, debugging skills for Modem/Mobile/Module HW/SW Performance using connectivity tools and technical analysis/reporting skills

Solid understanding of 3GPP Specifications for Modem Protocol layers such as NAS/RRC/RLC/MAC/PHY, also should be very well versed with GCF/PTCRB Testing and Certification process.

Must have exposure to Carrier Certification process including AT&T/Verizon/T-Mobile and Vodafone MNOs.

Prior working experience on Qualcomm Modems (auto grade : MDM9X28,9X50 or mobile grade : Snapdragon 810,808,625, 430 etc)

Working experience of Qualcomm debug tools like QXDM, QPST, etc to do modem log analysis

Prior experience in usage of Git, Gerrit and JIRA tools
