ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and implement branch recruiting strategies with Waterstone Branch Managers
  • Source, research and recruit candidates by using web searches, social media, and analytical search tools.
  • Create recruiting campaigns and document communication in CRM technology
  • Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, production, skills, experience and aptitudes
  • Generate candidate leads for managers by cold calling (20-30 calls per day), implementing campaigns and utilizing social media
  • Promote company's reputation as "best in class lender" and "great place to work"
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to manager and others involved in the recruiting process
  • Extend offers and communicate onboarding expectations with the candidate and hiring managers
  • Prepare and disperse recruitment materials
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Proven work experience in mortgage industry (3 plus years) prospecting business relationships or candidates. Successful experience making 20-30 out-bound phone calls per day (cold calls); Bachelor's degree preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficiency with Microsoft Suite is required. Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS); Hands-on experience with recruiting software.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good grammar and diction are required. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, write correspondence and write memorandums is required. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization is required.

CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS: Ability to build trust quickly and efficiently via initial phone call; Ability to quickly determine a recruit's strength and / or weakness (quickly qualify the recruit); Self-motivated, Driven. Using excellent customer service skills which includes maintaining a good attitude, taking ownership of meeting customer needs, going the "extra mile" for customers, demonstrating a commitment to sharpening skills through education and training, using positive communication, and looking for opportunities to respect customers' time and schedules is required.

Individuals in this position shall not engage in loan origination during the course of his/her employment with WMC. Loan origination is defined as (1) taking a residential mortgage loan application; or (2) offering or negotiating terms of a residential mortgage loan for compensation or gain; (3) advertising or communicating to the public that you can perform loan origination services.
