Lead DevOps Engineer

Lead DevOps Engineer, with strong experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) infrastructure, is now required by a leading Telco company, with a globally renown reputation.

The Lead DevOps Engineer will be responsible for defining and deploying the infrastructure, automation and operations practices to support our NFV infrastructure and SDN control plane.

You will spearhead the adoption of software defined infrastructure to deliver cloud native network services and applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Architect the deployment of virtual network functions using containerisation and orchestration platforms
• Implement continuous integration/delivery pipelines for infrastructure as code
• Automate configuration, deployment and management of networking infrastructure using SDN/NFV
• Drive automation and tooling to provision, manage and optimize network services
• Collaborate with development, architecture and program management teams
• Mentor and develop devops engineers

REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years of hands on experience with Linux, virtualization, container technologies, cloud platforms, CI/CD
• Expertise in SDN frameworks like OpenFlow, ODL etc and NFV platforms like OpenStack
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, Ansible etc
• Experience delivering telco grade projects from design to production
• Understanding of telecommunications protocols and infrastructure

This is a permanent role offering a salary between £80,000 - £92,000 + excellent package.

The role can be based remotely anywhere in the UK, with occasional travel to London HQ required.
