Location: Ramsay Rivers Hospital, Hertfordshire, CM21 OHH

HSL was formed to provide pathology services to the NHS Trusts and has expanded further to provide services to other NHS Trusts. Over 2,500 staff work at Sonic Healthcare UK, primarily under the TDL or HSL banner.

About the role:

A vacancy has arisen for a full time experienced Biomedical Scientist, to join the multidisciplinary team at the Ramsay Rivers TDL laboratory - experience is required of Haematology, Coagulation and Biochemistry. The laboratory is located in Hertfordshire and is open 24 hours a day with routine shifts covering 08:00 to 21:00.

There is an out of hours rota is in place to cover overnight and weekends for which there are extra fixed payments and the successful candidate would be expected to participate in these shifts after a suitable period of training.

Routine Haematology, Coagulation, Biochemistry and Blood Transfusion testing is performed on site. Experience in Blood Transfusion would be an advantage but training could be offered to the right candidate with evidence of the other disciplines.
