Ecommerce Manager, Fashion, London, Hybrid.

Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day WFH


Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience


Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a brilliant opportunity to work for a beautiful SME Luxury Fashion brand to manage the day-to-day running of the e-commerce website and digital marketing activity. As part of this successful London-based team, you will oversee ecommerce & will work alongside a small but mighty team, planning and executing forward strategies across e-commerce and digital marketing channels, reporting to the business on key metrics.

Key Responsibilities


E-commerce Website


  • Day to day management of the e-commerce website. Currently on Shopify Plus.
  • Oversee the launch of collections and special products online and product upload cross-channel marketing strategy, backend setup of products in Shopify Plus, coordinating PPC & social strategy with agency
  • Ownership of site visuals and content - updating visual assets across all site pages on a consistent basis in line with collection launches & marketing strategy
  • Creation and maintenance of all products on site - ensuring products are set up correctly with all relevant information, strong imagery and appropriate merchandising within categories in time for launches
  • Management of information architecture on site - including navigation, landing pages, categories, search functionality, product pages, informational pages, etc.
  • Overseeing online merchandising strategy
  • Create all product feeds, adding product descriptions, attributes, meta details, optimising images and ensuring that the process adheres to SEO best practice.
  • Step in with customer service and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Provide weekly and monthly performance analysis and insights to drive change and maximise site traffic and conversion rates.
  • Manage 3rd party web developers to deliver changes to the site. Brief requirements and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet defined levels of quality and scope.
  • Optimise the customer journey based on analytical data.
  • Plan and run markdowns and promotions and seasonal uploads.
  • Work closely with content manager & digital marketing agencies on PPC & Social Strategy agencies.
  • Weekly reporting on overall business performance using Shopify Analytics & Google Analytics
  • SEO optimisation with keyword analysis, page optimisation, competitor analysis.
  • Manage forecasts, planning and targets to ensure all metrics and KPIs are successfully defined and delivered.
  • End-to-end management of e-commerce photoshoots - planning, booking, working with designers on styling, photo selection for the website and editing via Adobe Photoshop.
  • Assistance with planning and management of ad hoc brand events - sample sales, VIP shopping.

Digital Marketing

  • Full email marketing management on Klaviyo - Creating weekly emails per week to promote sales and managing automated flows
  • Managing promotional activity - Planning & strategy with wider team, marketing, technical setup in Shopify+, testing and post-promotional reporting, e.g. Black Friday, ad-hoc flash sales
  • Management of marketing calendar - Work with the marketing team to create marketing strategy in line with collection launches, industry events & trends and sales objectives - which will then guide email, social and digital marketing strategy
  • Develop digital marketing plan and manage all digital marketing channels to ensure KPI achievements, overseeing Paid Search and Paid Social campaigns run by 3rd party agency.
  • Management of marketing calendar - Work with the wider team to create marketing strategy in line with collection launches, industry events & trends and sales objectives - which will then guide email, social and digital marketing strategy
  • Weekly and monthly performance reporting of site and correlated digital marketing activity, focusing on traffic, engagement, conversion, and sales.


Essential Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce and digital marketing within the retail industry, ideally in a similar role for a luxury brand. Ideally currently an ecommerce manager for a successful SME.
  • Good experience and knowledge of the luxury fashion industry, with experience in luxury fashion, accessories, lifestyle or accessories being important.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Google Analytics, Facebook Ad Manager and social media platforms.
  • Experience driving digital sales through proven commercial online strategies, with an entrepreneurial and creative mindset.
  • Experienced on major e-commerce platforms, Shopify & Shopify+ especially, well-versed in back-office administration.
  • Confident with Microsoft office suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively cross-functionally, understanding priorities and workload of other departments within the business.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Proactive with an excellent eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A positive presence.
  • Flexible and proactive attitude. Hands-on approach as well as making strategic decisions.
