Who is GBM Group I hear you ask? Well, you probably already know who we are, without realising it


We own and operate a network of highly-engaged youth communities on social media.


We have numerous pages including Great British Memes, That Girl Page, That Student Page and MORE, which across Instagram and Facebook (excluding TikTok & Snapchat), reach over 160 million every month. The vast majority of our social following also comes from within our home market - the UK


At GBM, we take pride in what we do and make sure the client's needs are met while considering the needs and wants of our nurtured communities/audiences. All campaigns have a lot of care and attention to detail with nothing going live unless the GBM team are 100% happy with everything.

The role:

We’re looking for a passionate and curious media specialist who is committed to (creating the best partnerships possible) Ideally with a background in partnerships (agency or publisher) and a strong interest in the social media landscape. The role itself will be working closely with our CEO and Brand & Content Manager and team to establish our presence in the UK advertising market, utilising key relationships to bring commercial opportunities to the table, whilst also being able to work independently. This role is focused on driving revenue growth across all solutions and sponsorships within key clients, ensuring retention and long term partnerships. The aim is to ensure that GBM is a trusted agency partner for business-critical clients, and building upon current client relationships with the likes of M&S, Bumble, Uber & many more!


Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the founder & Brand & Content Manager to define a clear commercial strategy for GBM, driving briefs and revenue for some of the world’s top brands and agencies.
  • Continue to grow and explore GBM’s proposition to market in the UK, working with clients, key agency stakeholders across the major and independent agency groups to grow awareness and secure revenue and hit targets & objectives.
  • Secure agency and client presentation sessions and other industry opportunities to communicate GBM’s proposition.
  • Pitching new client programmes, including writing and delivering presentations to clients, delivering existing social campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of commercial opportunities across our 5 key sales propositions: Distribution, Partnerships, Amplification, Management and Content Creation.
  • Maintain high levels of communication and transparency with the founder and heads of department, managing a self generated pipeline, revenue forecasts.
  • Proactively identify and seek out client and industry relationships to optimise revenue and opportunities. Working with the full spectrum of agency teams (planning, performance, partnerships etc).
  • Be GBM’s external ambassador, engage with key partners and wider advertising community to drive company commercial and internal growth. Seeking out and participating at industry events, both formal and informal.
  • Fully manage the sale process and agency/client relationship from brief to execution.

What we’re looking for:

  • Builds strong client relationships.
  • Experience partnering with media agencies at an account management level.
  • Strong understanding and interest in the world of digital and use of social channels e.g. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat.
  • Demonstrable expertise in understanding a brief and developing the right integrated proposal as a response.
  • Proven contacts within the industry, excellent negotiation skills.
  • Passionate about great work and delivering strong business outcomes for clients - as well as hitting targets.
  • An aptitude to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Shows initiative and doesn’t wait to be instructed.
  • Be genuinely passionate about GBM and our exciting future.

What success looks like:

We’re a small team, looking to expand further into the market, so we’re looking to secure new business quickly to add to our already existing partnerships. Success will be measured by the amount of briefs and opportunities you are able to bring in as well as quality meetings with potential future partners. The founder has strong industry relationships and a lot of previous connections that they will be able to leverage to support you in the sales process. We are already in a great position where we work with great clients but we’re looking to expand this further as the company grows, the ideal candidate will be someone we can build with and grow with us as a business.


Other things to note:

We are about to move into a brand shiny new office in London Bridge. You will be required to attend the office minimum 3-4 times a week (but trust bestie, it's GORG, you won't wanna be at home ).
