Part of a large design studio within the Group, our Rental (Home Staging) and Show Home department is a fast growing and integral part of our business, always working on a varied number of high profile and interesting projects.


We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and creative individual to join our friendly and fun team as a junior designer.


The business continues to grow rapidly and the right candidate will quickly have the opportunity to take on additional responsibility and progress their career whilst learning from a team with a varying skill set.


The role will be split between our office in Holborn, warehouse in East London, and at the properties and show homes we stage throughout London and the Home Counties.


Requirements:


  • Passion for Residential Interior design and styling
  • Ability to apply skills to a wide range of briefs
  • Understanding of Indesign, Photoshop and AutoCAD
  • Very competent administration and organisational skills
  • Proficient at working with Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to space plan from a floor plan
  • A confident team player, with excellent communication skills for both internal and client related matters.
  • Presentation and client facing experience
  • Driving License & own car preferable


Duties & detail:


  • This is a hands-on and fast paced role – we are looking for someone who enjoys being on site and seeing their projects come to fruition.
  • Dressing and finishing properties. This will involve selecting and collating the furniture and decorative accessories from our warehouse ensuring the correct items are used in each installation. It will also include sourcing and purchasing furniture and accessories for our projects.
  • Specifying Window Treatments and Decoration for our Show Home projects and liaising with contractors to obtain quotes.
  • Producing tailored furniture design schemes, floor plans and mood-boards as and when required for show homes, and presenting the scheme to clients and following through to fruition.
  • Carrying out accurate site visits in order to compile/check the inventories and to assist with styling and dressing, ensuring they are finished to the required level.
  • Supervising our installers on-site, and project managing the installation to ensure completion to a high standard.
  • Identifying and resolving issues on-site and reporting back to the operations team so that amendments where needed can be made as quickly as possible.


Working Relationships:


Effective working relationships are an essential part of daily working life. The focus in this role is both:

  • Internal: Colleagues within the design departments, business development operations, warehouse & deliverable teams, the principle directors of the Company.
  • External: Suppliers, agents, developers, landlords and private clients.


Reporting to: Tali Leggett (Design Director – Rental & Show Homes)


Location


Hybrid working with 2-3 days based on our offices in Holborn – Central London.
