Job Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Android Test Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Espresso, Kotlin, and build tools like Gradle to join our mobile engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining test automation frameworks for Android applications, ensuring high-quality releases. This role requires strong technical expertise in Android automation testing and a proven ability to work closely with developers and product teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Android test automation frameworks using Espresso and Kotlin.
• Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for UI, functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Collaborate with Android developers to ensure testability and code quality from the start of the development cycle.
• Optimize test execution times and ensure scalability of test suites.
• Integrate automation tests with Gradle and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI).
• Analyze test results, track bugs, and work with the development team to ensure swift resolution.
• Monitor and report on the quality metrics of mobile applications.
• Participate in code reviews for automation scripts and ensure high-quality test code.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Android testing and automation.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 6+ years of experience in Android test automation with at least 3 years using Espresso.
• Proficiency in Kotlin for test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Gradle for build automation and dependency management.
• Deep understanding of Android architecture, UI components, and ViewModel patterns.
• Knowledge of continuous integration systems and setting up automated test suites in CI/CD environments.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong understanding of Agile development processes and working in an Agile team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively communicate with product management, UX/UI, and development teams.
