Mission Services - Food Service Worker

Mission Services Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is currently seeking a part-time Food Services Worker to complete operational activities for our Table of Hope Kitchen. You will be responsible for organizing and stocking supplies, preparing and serving food, meal planning, and working with community volunteers to implement the Table of Hope meal program.

**Essential Functions:**

* Completes operational functions of the Table of Hope Kitchen, including organizing and sticking supplies, food preparation, food service, and meal planning.

* Works with community volunteers to implement the program.

* Assists Lead Worker with service delivery documentation including volunteer sign-in sheets, patron counts, and ensures communication of information with supervisor.

* Assists Lead Worker in kitchen operation in accordance with all local health department food service standards.

* Completes necessary housekeeping duties for the kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms to ensure cleanliness.

* Completes donation pick-up when necessary and accepts donation deliveries.

* Works in conjunction with supervisor and other support staff to ensure awareness and effectiveness of the Table of Hope Program.

* Performs other duties, as assigned.

**Basic Requirements:**

* High School Diploma/GED preferred

* Must have or be able to obtain a Hancock County Health Department Food Service License. Must have or be able to obtain a food handling certification from the Mountaineer Foodbank.

* Works a schedule that includes evening hours to facilitate food service operations.

* Ability to handle a variety of tasks that change often.

* Must be able to perform physical requirements of the position, including, constant standing, stair climbing, stooping, bending, ability to carry up to 35 pounds, stooping, twisting, and infrequent crouching and squatting.
