Appropriate Degree required from accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program

EXPERIENCE:
1 year of clinical experience specific to practice as a NP or PA preferred
Open to new graduates with prior critical care background

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

REQUIRED
BLS (CPR) | American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Current PA or NP licensure in the State of NC

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Exceptional opportunity for an Acute Care NP or Physician Assistant to work with LeBauer Pulmonary & Critical Care team in Greensboro, NC. LeBauer PCCM is seeking new team members to join a well-established group of advanced practice providers and physicians. Provider responsibilities include coverage of the medical, surgical, cardiac & neuro / trauma ICU's on a rotational basis. Additionally, the practice covers an inpatient pulmonary consulting service. The Advanced Practice Provider works in collaboration with physician team members to provide safe and effective evidence-based patient care in the ICU setting.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Performs physical assessments of the patient, reviews their medical history, and interprets diagnostic tests/results in order to provide effective treatment for the patient.
Conducts preventive health screenings based on the patient's age, history, and unique needs to provide proactive health care.
Educates patients and their family about high acuity care medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
Maintains record of all patient care in order to ensure accurate patient history.
Performs high acuity care medical procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines and clinical roles.
Identifies ways to improve high acuity patient care by assessing, problem-solving, and evaluating clinical and system issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
