Position Description:

The company is looking for a multi-skilled, passionate developer to join our growing engineering team as the ArcGIS developer. This position will work closely with supporting departments and interact with the PMO daily as well as other business units and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be pro-active, reliable, result oriented and be able to perform well in a fast-paced environment. This position will be responsible for following internal SDLC standards and accepted best practices for developed solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain geospatial applications and tools.(ESRI experience would be a plus)
  • Develop and implement algorithms for geospatial data analysis and visualization
  • Integrate with third-party geospatial APIs and libraries
  • Collaborate with other developers, GIS specialists, and project managers to deliver high-quality geospatial solutions
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in geospatial development

Requirements

    • 5+ years of programming experience in an OO language, e.g. (Java, Python, Golang, Rust etc)
    • Strong geospatial experience, including working with geospatial data, GIS software, and spatial databases
    • Experience with geospatial APIs and libraries such as OpenLayers, Leaflet, GDAL, GeoServer, or PostGIS
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Education/Certs

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, GIS, or related field
    • GIS Certification; Online GIS Cert, GISP or Esri Technical Cert

    Desired Skills (Not Required):

    • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS GeoEvents Server
    • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
    • Experience working with DHS and/or DoD
    • Security Clearance

    Travel Requirements:

    Ability for up to 10% travel both domestic and international.

      WORK SCHEDULE NOTE:

      • While this position is scheduled for a traditional Monday – Friday work week, our systems run 24/7/365 and as such, you may be expected to perform out of hours, on-call support on an as needed basis. This may include weekends and/or holidays and is worked on a rotation system with other team members. Additional compensation may be available for working on-call, standby or holiday hours.
      • This is a Public Trust position and requires completion of a State and Federal Criminal History Report (i.e., background check) and may require a Department of Defense security clearance. Current and future employment will be contingent upon satisfactory completion of both the FBI Summary History Report and if designated, a DoD security clearance.
      • This position requires use of or access to information subject to the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”).
