Part-Time Educational Assistant

The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Part-Time (0.86 f.t.e) Educational Assistant at Fairview High School. This position is to commence as soon as possible and continue until June 27, 2025. The successful candidate will be providing general classroom support. Fairview High School is located in the town of Fairview, approximately 100 kms north of Grande Prairie. The school serves students in grades 7-12. Fairview High School supports a variety of programs including an active sports program, excellent CTS Program, partnerships with community organizations and energetic student council group Qualifications: Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent. Experience and/or training working with students in a junior/senior high school setting. Experience and/or training working with students with complex learning needs and/or who exhibit challenging behaviours. Skills: Ability to work with students of varied ages, skill levels, needs and abilities. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff. Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Conscientious, flexible and committed. Rate of Pay: $20.16 to $25.29 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
