Secretarial Clerk (10 Month CONTINUING) (Victoria High 35hrs) Subject to internal staffing process The Greater Victoria School District 61 is looking to hire a Secretarial Clerk . This is a continuing position working 35 hours per week at Victoria High. The Greater Victoria School District provides public educational services to over 20,000 students in the Greater Victoria area, encompassing six municipalities. To provide this service, the District has a current operating budget of $210 million and employs approximately 3,500 staff which includes teachers, principals and vice-principals, support staff, psychologists, speech and language pathologists and exempt managerial staff. The Secretarial Clerk provides a variety of clerical support services in a busy school office, including reception, word processing, student attendance and records management. Education and Experience: Legally able to work in Canada Grade 12 or equivalent Completion of some office administration courses Over 6 months recent office experience Knowledge of office procedures Knowledge of database management, word processing, spreadsheet and email applications Must demonstrate competency by passing a related District test This position falls within the CUPE 947 Collective Agreement at a pay rate of $27.17 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits plan after completion of probation.
