Job Description

Introduction

Are you passionate about driving change and creating opportunities for state-educated students across the UK? The 93% Club, the UK’s largest network for state-educated students and professionals, is looking for an enthusiastic Employer Partnership Manager to lead our efforts in building meaningful partnerships with top employers. As part of our mission to make everyone #StateSchoolProud, you’ll work closely with our Chief Operating Officer, Ellie Wardrope, to create the ultimate experience, helping students find their dream roles and employers find their dream candidates.

About The 93% Club

The 93% Club is on a mission to transform what it means to be state-educated in the UK through the power of community. With 51 student clubs nationwide, a thriving professionals’ network, and an incredible roster of top graduate employer partners. The 93% Club has become the largest network for state-educated students and professionals to connect, upskill, and pay it forward.

The 93% Club is not like most charities. We’re a social enterprise with a charitable structure, bringing together the functions of a student social network, a careers service, a recruitment agency, and a thriving professional members’ Club into one high-touch, high-impact organisation. 100% of our profits are reinvested into our mission, with our only shareholder being our charitable entity.

Job Purpose

The 93% Club is full of raw talent; we’re here to unlock it. Working alongside employers of all sizes across the UK, we show our members who they can be and help them to get there. Our one-of-a-kind events and partnerships tackle imposter syndrome, a lack of industry awareness, and a lack of contacts head-on, making opportunities open to everyone. By helping employers find the best state-educated talent, we create a UK where the most influential roles look more like the society they represent.

Since launching, we’ve built strong partnerships through inbound interest. We're ready to take our product directly to market—and you’ll be instrumental in developing a scalable outbound sales process. As the first Employer Partnerships Manager, you will expand The 93% Club’s network of employer partners, manage client relationships, and foster engagement between employers and our diverse student and professional networks. Working alongside our Head of Impact, this role will also be responsible for tracking the success of our partnerships - from destination tracking for our students to ROI for our employers. This is a unique chance to join a dynamic founding team, accelerate your career, and drive meaningful change.

Your focus in the next 12 months and beyond:

  • Short-term goals: Review existing packages, provide input on strategy, and maintain current relationships
  • Medium-term objectives: Develop an outbound strategy, explore new offerings, identify gaps in current services, collaborate with Fin Wright (CMO) on marketing initiatives, and leverage the organisation's strong online presence for both inbound and outbound efforts
  • Long-term aims: Sustain relationships, diversify into different industries, create industry-specific packages, and develop strategies to operationalise and scale the program effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnership Acquisition & Development: Proactively identify and secure new employer partnerships, creating value-driven packages for partners and our membership alike
  • Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact for all employer partners. Manage client onboarding, renewals, and drive long-term partner retention and satisfaction.
  • Strategic Sales Development: Develop and execute a direct sales model to drive new business, including outbound sales motions. Codifying processes for scale.
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborating with the team, enhancing existing partnership packages, whilst testing and iterating on new offerings.
  • Client Expansion & Renewal: Manage partnership renewals and expansions, identify new opportunities, and tailor packages to meet industry-specific needs.
  • Programme & Event Management: Collaborate with employers on engagement activities, including graduate recruitment campaigns, and initiatives like the Social Mobility Factory, State School Roadshow and bespoke events.
  • Reporting & Impact Analysis: Track, report, and analyse partnership performance, using insights to optimise strategy and deepen relationships.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • B2B Sales Expertise: Strong background in B2B sales, ideally in recruitment, early-careers, or a related field, with demonstrated success in building and executing outbound sales strategies.
  • Partnership Management: Proven experience managing client relationships, driving customer satisfaction, and delivering value through partnership renewals and expansion.
  • Sales Methodology: Deep understanding of sales methodologies and experience in developing scalable, direct sales processes.
  • Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Ability to thrive in a fast-evolving and dynamic environment, comfortable with uncertainty, and highly adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Empathy & Curiosity: Naturally empathetic and curious, passionate about solving client problems and delivering scalable solutions that meet client and student needs.
  • Passion for our cause: You’re passionate about social mobility, with a strong understanding of the barriers faced by state-educated students and how businesses can help overcome these.
  • Event & Campaign Management: Experience organising and managing employer engagement events and/or graduate recruitment campaigns to support employer branding and talent acquisition efforts.
