Job Description

My client is a medium sized family owned construction business, undertaking new build and refurbishment projects across education, healthcare, and residential sectors in London and the South East of England.
They are currently seeking a Marketing, and New Business Assistant who will be part of the Pre-Construction team.
It is essential that applicants for this role have previous construction industry experience or they will not be considered.
Key responsibilities will include amongst other things:
* Marketing
* Website and Social Media - Implement company objectives, branding and core value through our website and social media platforms.
* Branding – building awareness, implementing and monitoring of the company brand, to provide consistency across all forms of communication and promotional materials, both external and internal.
* Market research and intelligence – identify, develop and initiate new and innovative methods to market the Group’s activities.
* Website and digital marketing – responsible for the website, keeping it updated. Manage digital marketing including social media post, and analysing its performance.
* Photography – project, events and company photography to be used for promotional purposes. Build up portfolio library.
* Events – assisting with the scheduling and arranging of key company events.
* Promotional Marketing Materials -responsible for updating of marketing, new business and bidding material. Business Development
* Potential Tender Opportunities – assist the Marketing and New Business Manager in seeking suitable tender or negotiated opportunities including Expressions of Interest (EOI) and Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ’s).
* EOI’s and PQQ’s – where required, assisting in the preparation of EOI’s and PQQ’s.
* Events – attending events including seminars relating to new business opportunities and initiatives, networking events, meet-the-buyer sessions and social value activities
* Generally – providing support to the Marketing and New Business Manager. Helping to identify new markets or business opportunities with existing and new employers and consultants.
The successful candidate will be confident, outgoing, well organised, have enthusiasm, good communication and interpersonal skills.
They will be confident, approachable and able to form good working relationships across the company.
The candidate should be self-motivated, honest and comfortable when working to deadlines and have the ability to prioritise workload.
Previous experience working for a construction contractor in marketing is essential for this role
