Job Description
**Job Title:** Neonatal/Pediatric Transport Specialist
**Job Specialty:** Respiratory Care
**Job Duration:**
**Shift:** 7am to 7pm
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Prefer minimum of 1 year NICU and Pediatric ICU experience
**License:** Must have successfully completed the Registered Respiratory Therapist and Perinatal Specialist Exam (NPS Credential) administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
**Certifications:**
- Current certification in CPR
- Must have or obtain NRP, Stable, ACLS, and PALS Certifications within 6 months from the date of hire
**Must-Have:**
- Graduate of a respiratory therapy program
- Able to be on call
- Capable of lifting 30 pounds
- Maintain active air and ground transport capability
**Job Description:**
- Provide excellent, quality, and consistent care to all critically ill infants and pediatric patient populations.
- Demonstrate and maintain competency in all therapeutic procedures.
- Serve effectively as an adjunct clinical instructor for affiliate students and new staff.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in the technology required to treat neonatal and pediatric patients.
- Play an active role in the growth and development of respiratory care in Neo-Natal Intensive Care settings.
- Serve as a leader by providing education and sharing knowledge with coworkers.
- Act as a resource and assist in charge roles as needed.
- New hires must complete orientation within one year from the date of hire.
