Job Description
**Job Title:** CT Technologist
**Job Specialty:** Diagnostic Imaging
**Job Duration:** Permanent
**Shift:** 8-hour evenings, 3pm-11:30pm, Monday-Friday with every 5th-6th weekend and holiday rotation
**Guaranteed Hours:** 24 hours per week
**Experience:** Previous experience in CT preferred, but not required
**License:** Licensed with the State Board of Health
**Certifications:**
- CT certification
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
**Must-Have:**
- Ability and knowledge of imaging various anatomical structures
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, with 100 lbs shared lifting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of general computer skills and applications
- Ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills
- Must be able to take call
**Job Description:**
- Operate CT scanners and perform CT procedures in accordance with department policies and procedures
- Work together with physicians to conduct a variety of specialized CT procedures
- Set up and adjust equipment to perform diagnostic procedures
- Position patients to obtain images of the area of interest, respecting the patient's ability and comfort
- Obtain appropriate patient information for the procedure being completed
- Provide radiation protection to the patient, technologist, and anyone else in the area, utilizing personal protective equipment and other guidelines as needed
- Recognize emergent situations and activate assistance as needed
- Assist other areas and shifts as needed
