Weekly Pay Range - $2144 To $2382
**Job Title:** MRI Technologist
**Job Specialty:** Diagnostic Imaging - MRI
**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks
**Shift:** Monday - Friday: 11 AM - 7:30 PM or 12 PM - 8:30 PM; Every other Saturday from 7 AM - 3:30 PM; On-Call as needed
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 Hours Per Week
**Experience:** Minimum 1 Year of Experience Required
**License:** Required Licensure
**Certifications:** ARRT Radiography Registration, ARRT MRI Registration, Approved CPR or BLS Certification, Required State Licensure
**Must-Have:** Experience as an MRI Technologist, Graduate of an Accredited Radiography Program
**Job Description:**
- Perform MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
- Work flexible hours, alternate shifts, weekends, and on-call assignments as necessary.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, serve on committees, and participate in projects.
- Conduct procedures or examinations under a licensed medical practitioner's order for diagnostic interpretation.
- Prepare patients for procedures, providing instruction to achieve desired results, and minimizing anxiety.
- Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patients, self, and others.
- Select and operate the magnetic resonance system and associated equipment to achieve desired results.
- Position the patient and equipment to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Immobilize patients as required for appropriate examination.
- Select appropriate pulse sequences, considering established protocols and other data acquisition parameters.
- Perform venipuncture and maintain venous access.
- Prepare and administer contrast media, verifying consent/screening forms.
- Assist physicians with interventional procedures.
- Practice aseptic technique and observe universal precautions.
- Evaluate images and data for technical quality and manipulate digital data for display.
- Assume responsibility for the physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures.
- Use radiology information systems, ensure accurate records and reports, and archive images for physician review.
- Initiate basic life support action when necessary.
- Provide practical instruction to colleagues and students.
- Use system software for managing electronic medical records.
