Part-Time Educational Assistant

The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Part-Time (0.87 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant at T. A. Norris Middle School. This position will commence as soon as a suitable candidate is secured and will continue until June 27, 2025. The successful candidate will be providing one on one support to our exceptional students. The school is located in the town of Peace River and serves students from grades 5-8. The school offers a high quality core academic program, consisting of English, French Immersion and French Second Language and a wide range of exploratory courses which include Art, Drama, Home Economics and Band. Qualifications: Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent Experience and/or training working with students in a junior/senior high school setting Skills: Ability to work with children with varied skill levels, needs and abilities Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment and accountability Requirements: Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check Please note, record check must be less than six (6) months old to date of your application. Rate of Pay: $20.16 to $25.29 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
