Pay: £85-£100 per day

About the role:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in the heart of Hackney! This is a unique opportunity to become part of a supportive and welcoming school that is deeply embedded in the local community. This part-time Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant position focuses on providing crucial support for our Boosters and Catch-Up Interventions. You’ll be working with small groups of pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping to bridge learning gaps and improve their confidence. Your role will involve one-on-one sessions and group work, assisting with core subjects like English and Maths, and giving students the extra push they need to achieve their full potential.

Application Requirements:

• Has experience working with Key Stage 2 students, especially in an intervention or SEN setting.

• Is patient, empathetic, and committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning.

• Possesses strong communication skills and can work effectively with teachers, students, and parents.

• Has a proactive, hands-on approach and can adapt to the needs of individual learners.

• Holds a relevant qualification in education or experience working with children in a similar capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting students in small group interventions and one-on-one booster sessions.

• Assisting teachers in the delivery of lessons, with a focus on SEN and low-achieving students.

• Working closely with the SENCO to implement individualized learning plans.

• Encouraging students’ social and emotional development through nurturing relationships.

• Monitoring and recording student progress, ensuring regular feedback to class teachers and parents.
