Job Description

Role: QHSE Manager

Location: Swindon (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £60,000 - £62,000

Our client are a market leading supplier of essential equipment and ground breaking tools to the oil and gas industry. They are seeking a QHSE manager to join their team, the role will report into Swindon but will have hybrid working. Role Duties – QHSE Manager

  • Detailed knowledge of Quality requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of H&S requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of Environmental requirements
  • The company is certified by BSI to all three standards, and it will be this person's job to make sure the business works to the systems and that approvals are maintained.
  • Within these areas you will need to set KPI's and targets and push the company to achieve them.
  • You will need to make sure the company understands all customer requirements including quality plans, product finish and documentation.
  • Chair appropriate committees to ensure we continual achievement of QHSE targets.
  • Be responsible for approving new suppliers and maintaining current supplier list.

Experience – QHSE Manager

  • QHSE Management Experience: Proven experience managing QHSE functions within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation, such as ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety).
  • Auditing and Certification: Experience with internal and external audits, maintaining certifications, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Risk Management: Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and managing risks related to health, safety, and environmental impact.
  • Incident Investigation: Demonstrated ability to investigate accidents, near-misses, and implement corrective actions.

Key Qualifications: QHSE Manager

  • NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma: A NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) qualification is essential for understanding health and safety requirements.
  • IOSH Membership: Chartered or working towards Chartered Membership with IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) is highly desirable.
  • ISO Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and experience in implementing them within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Relevant technical knowledge and experience with the operational aspects of health, safety, and environmental management in manufacturing.
