About the role: SEN Teaching Assistant: Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Hackney, you will work with Key Stage 1 and 2 students who have a range of special educational needs. You will provide support in small groups and 1-on-1 sessions, helping students engage in their learning and reach their full potential. Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in Key Stage 1 or 2.
• Knowledge of strategies to support children with SEN, including autism and ADHD.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• A valid Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1-on-1 support to students with special educational needs.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and foster an inclusive environment.
• Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons that cater to SEN students.
• Assist students in developing social and emotional skills.
• Communicate with parents and staff about student progress.
