Job Description
The Financial Crime Risk team work to establish appropriate frameworks and standards to enable Macquarie to identify, mitigate and manage the risk that Macquarie's products and services could be involved in, or used to facilitate, money laundering or terrorism financing.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Manager in this high performing team, you will support the Global Head of Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Finance Policy and Programme to provide leadership and direction. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining global policy and programme materials, including policy, standards and other relevant documentation, as well as the ability to identify and progress programme enhancements for the organisation.
You also will be responsible for leading on resolving actions owned by the Global Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Finance Policy and Programme team, and there will be opportunities for board senior stakeholder engagement in the role.

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.

- 5-7 years' of experience of working in an equivalent financial services institution, consulting firm or similar organisation
- Demonstrable experience in policy and standard development, with experience supporting strategic direction for Anti Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Finance within a large, ideally global, financial services organisation or consulting firm
- Strong understanding of both local and international Anti Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism compliance obligations
- Thorough knowledge of institutional financial services products
- Ability to combine understanding of regulations and legislation with practical implications
- Proactive and consultative in approach to engagement with the business, using initiative to meet with stakeholders and to build strong relationships.
