Job Description

Job Summary

Under the direction of a charge nurse, the Patient Care Technician II assists the nursing staff in provision of basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Responds to any patient call lights
  • Gives status report of patient to appropriate personnel
  • Performs documentation duties on unit, which is timely, comprehensive, and concise, in order to provide accurate information
  • Assists with personal hygiene
  • Assists with activities of daily living and mobility
  • Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment
  • Perform other duties as required

Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in related field
  • Completion of a Phlebotomy Course
