Job Title: Principal Consultant – Service Design & Operating Model (NHS, Central Government, Local Government)

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000

Location: London (Hybrid)

I am working with a boutique consultancy to recruit a service design focused Principal Consultant.

In this role, you will work on a variety of projects that will help improve the delivery of the public sector.

About the Company:

• They are a growing management consultancy dedicated to transforming public sector services, including the NHS and local and central government.

Role Overview:

A Principal Consultant to lead service design and operating model transformation projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with clients to enhance service delivery and improve operational efficiency across the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead service design and operating model projects from scoping to implementation.
• Assess current operating models and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop user-centred services and strategic roadmaps for transformation.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to influence decision-making and build strong relationships.
• Manage project teams and deliver high-impact results.
• Contribute to business development and thought leadership in service design.

Your Ideal Experience:

• Significant consulting experience in service design or organisational transformation.
• Background working with the NHS, central government, or local government.
• Proven track record of delivering user-centred services and engaging senior stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills and a collaborative mindset.
