Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)


The Role


An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Marketing Director based in London to focus specifically on the College brands (LCCA, LCCM, TLG, LAT) to play a central role in delivering our growth strategy.


This senior role sits on the CEO’s Executive Group (the senior executive decision-making body of the College Division). The postholder will drive the development, delivery and analysis of fully integrated marketing strategy.Central to success will be leading an integrated plan of activities that demonstrably strengthen the reputation of the colleges, increase awareness, and promote our educational offers, maximizing results and achieve ROI.


You will be expected to be fully involved from a ‘hands on’ perspective, working with key stakeholders as well as the marketing/sales team in London and Hyderabad, ensuring targets are set and achieved, and that workload is prioritised effectively. Particular focus will be on lead generation targets, full control of marketing budget, consumer journey and integration of all marketing activities alongside sales and the Business Development Team.


We are looking for a skilled digital marketer with a proven record of managing online and offline marketing budgets, achieving leads targets, preparing in depth marketing reports and ability to demonstrate ROI. From time to time, the successful candidate maybe asked to also support and deliver ad hoc projects for the group brands based on business needs and dependent on performance.

Some of the Responsibilities include:


Develop marketing plans that are focused on achieving the individual college’s strategy.

Lead the Strategic Marketing department to support a culture of performance, innovation, partnership working and a focus on delivery. Line managing the Heads of Teams responsible for marketing.

Enhance our approach by devising and coordinating strategic marketing plans, including influencing market insight, programme development, student enquiries and conversion.

Develop and lead integrated campaigns that increases brand awareness and strengthens the reputation of the colleges

Lead on all college events activity including an annual programme of major events, graduate ceremonies and partnership opportunities to strengthen our reputation and reach.

Proactively secure platforms and opportunities that build the college’s reputation, profile and influence on relevant issues.

Planning resource and executing on all deliverables on time

Creating, implementing and monitoring online marketing campaigns. Reporting on KPIs and identifying growth opportunities in the online market

Managing, coaching and mentoring the assigned marketing team

Proactively managing key relationships with external suppliers and internal stakeholders



Person Specification


A track record of leading integrated marketing and communications teams.

A proven leader with drive, energy, ideas and resilience.

A leadership approach that blends constructive partnership working with a focus on deliver to achieve demonstrable outcomes.

A proactive self-starter who can drive positive change and improvement.

Proven experience of leading marketing and communications campaigns that have delivered measurable success.

A strong writer, who can combine creativity with clarity and precision in written communications that are appropriate for diverse range of audiences.

An analytical decision maker with the ability to prioritise and focus on achieving organisational priorities.

A problem solver with the ability to innovate and harness technology to deliver improved outcomes.

Ability to inspire and lead a team, motivate people to achieve objectives and build constructive professional relationships with colleagues.

Ability to influence and support collective decision making with personal and professional authority whilst demonstrating sound risk-management skills.

An accomplished communicator and networker with a track record of engaging with diverse audiences and building purposeful partnerships with influential stakeholders.

Educated to degree level. Desirable

Experience of working in Higher Education.

Demonstrable success in leading student recruitment activities to grow numbers.

Appropriate professional qualification in a relevant area (e.g. Chartered Institute of Marketing, Chartered Institute of Public Relations) and/or a relevant postgraduate degree (e.g. MA in Marketing, MBA)
