Location : Bangalore. Duration: Fulltime. Job Responsibilities : - Design and develop scalable, maintainable, well mannered (CPU, memory, disk, power, network) automotive grade Linux applications with C, C++ for embedded platforms. - Perform peer reviews, static analysis tests and unit testing of the software. - Understand 3rd party software from Open source, partners, OEMs, vendors with minimum support and integrate it with the product portfolio. - Understand and relate to system architecture for software design and development. - Understand business requirements, associate them with agile entities (stories/tasks) for planning and execution. Basic Qualifications : - Masters/Bachelors degree in electrical, communications, computer engineering or a similar discipline. - Should have 3 to 7 years of overall experience. - Strong understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals. - IP subnetting and hierarchical routing principles. - Routing protocol operation. - Linux Inter Process Communication mechanisms (sockets, message queues, shared memory). - Concepts and techniques for Multithreaded applications. - Hands on working experience with IP service protocol networks in Linux. - IP based data applications (e., FTP, HTTP, RTSP, SNMP, MQTT, VoLTE, VoIP). - Design, development, porting of Linux applications on an embedded platform. - Troubleshooting, debugging with embedded hardware platforms. - Industry standard version control systems like GIT, Gerrit. - Gtest based C++ unit test framework. - Deep knowledge of embedded device constraints and how to root cause or debug issues through the entire SW development life cycle. - Adept at designing and developing reusable and scalable C, C++ code. - Proficient understanding of STL (Standard Template Library): containers and algorithms. - Good written and oral communication skills to collaborate with teams across geographies (ref:hirist.tech)
