About the role:

The role sits within the Private Equity Portfolio (PE Portfolio) Tax team. This is a Deals Tax Portfolio Director in one of the most successful teams within PwC's Deals Tax network. This is an inclusive and approachable team who advise Private Equity backed businesses, working collaboratively across specialisms to drive value and help our clients succeed at all stages of the deal lifecycle.

This is an opportunity to showcase your relationship building skills with CFO's and Heads of Tax in some significant businesses.

What your days will look like:
  • Leading the tax relationship and delivery of corporate tax advice on our existing Private Equity backed clients.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand relationships with CFO's and Heads of Tax tax to include colleagues in Deals tax, the wider tax practice and also across other lines of service.
  • Lead teams to deliver bespoke, commercially focused tax advice in a fast-paced and evolving international deals market
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring successful delivery and management of projects, including financial performance


This role is for you if:
  • You have a strong understanding of indirect and transfer taxes, management taxes and international tax principles.
  • You have a substantive, proven track record of building internal and external relationships and networks, both within the UK and overseas
  • You have developed communication skills, specifically in negotiating with and influencing others
  • You have an inquisitive mind and ability to solve problems as part of a diverse team
  • You must possess an accounting or tax qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
