Job Description

Our client is a Global Law Firm looking to add an Early Careers Advisor to its team. This is a permanent role within a hybrid working environment based in London.


Main Duties & Responsibilities include:


  • Responsibility for induction, seat allocation, seat rotation and secondment arrangements, as well as other processes relating to future joiners within early careers.
  • Manage and support on Employee Relations cases for current trainees or future joiners, including solicitor apprentices in time (matters relating to, for example, ill-health, personal issues, wellbeing, absence or performance management). This will involve workplace adjustments for incoming trainee solicitors and solicitor apprentices and provide ongoing support where needed.
  • Develop solicitor apprenticeship programme including induction, seat allocation, seat rotation and qualification, as well as other processes relating to solicitor apprentices.
  • Act as main point of contact for solicitor apprentices and manage roll out of programme at the firm.
  • Organise and run events (for those at the firm, or those joining in the future) alongside other Early Careers Development team members.
  • Strong understanding of the route to qualification via the SQE, and up to date knowledge on any regulatory changes from the SRA.
  • Shared responsibility with the team for booking and delivering presentations or briefings, as necessary (e.g. how to complete a training record).
  • Liaise with BPP Law School on future joiners and maintain ongoing relationship.

  • Experience in the early careers space.
  • Good team player with a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written, spoken and presentational • Excellent attention to detail and good use of grammar.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships with internal and external clients and the resilience to deal with demanding individuals.
  • A confident and proactive individual prepared to take a hands-on approach to managing their workload using their own initiative.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task, keep calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
