Forming Supervisor - Hope, Ar
We have an immediate opening for a Forming Supervisor at our Hope, Arkansas Facility. Hours are 3:30pm - 2am, Monday thru Thursday
Manage the safety, quality, keep a high standard of quality, manage day to day operations of forming department. Mentor and supervise employees to strive for quality and performance. Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Interprets Company Policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. (keep safety #1 priority)
• Assigns workers to machines to run efficiently.
• Confirm/Document QC Checks.
• Mantian correct production records daily.
• Recycling of cores, cardboard and maintain crate area.
• Overtime hours to be approved by forming Manager.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or workcrew.
• Maintains time and attendance records for their shift.
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance/set-up personnel.
• Work closely with scheduling to meet ship dates.
• Perform evaluations of employees.
• Train employees with cross training functions of other machines and job duties and onboarding of new hires..
Essential Skills:
• EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years previous supervisory or leadership experience in amanufacturing setting is preferred. Associates degree or equivalent from a college or technical school is preferred.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OTHER: General knowledge of computers; specifically MS Word and Excel is required.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Speak, write and understand English language fluently.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Proficient with math and basic measurements
• REASONING ABILITY: Excellent Supervisory skills, ability to multi task with ease and make sound decisions.
• OTHER: Continue to stay updated and complete training as required for new systems/software and certifications as needed.
