Job Description

Summary
  • Position Summary
    • Under the direction of the Facility Supervisor, the Master Electrician is responsible to carry out the hospitals regular Preventive Maintenance Program (electrical); by installing, repairing, replacing, and maintaining all fixed and portable electrical equipment, including utilities and specialized medical electronic equipment used for the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High school or trade school diploma with courses in blueprint reading, electricity, mathematics, and physics preferred.
    • License/Certifications: State of Maine licensure as Master Electrician required. Valid Maine driver's license required.
    • Experience: A four-year electrician's apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training, which should be in the electrical-electronic fields.
