Job Title: DT Technician
Location: Hammersmith and Fulham
Job Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Pay Rate: £15 to £18 an hour
About the Role:
Are you skilled with hand tools and woodworking, or do you hold a degree in a design-related field such as DT, Engineering, or Art? We are looking for a passionate and dedicated DT Technician to join a secondary school in Hammersmith and Fulham. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the DT and Art departments in a vibrant school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in practical lessons (KS3 and KS4) to enhance students' experience in Design and Technology
Provide guidance and support to teaching staff
Work across all areas within the Art, Design, and Technology faculty
Promote and ensure health and safety within the departmentThe Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Engineering, DT, or Art) or have practical experience with hand tools and woodworking
Be passionate about the potential of every pupil
Be reliable and possess strong communication skills
Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essentialBenefits:
