• A commitment to inclusive education and a genuine passion for helping children with special educational needs.
• Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable but not essential).
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to students with challenging behaviours, helping them to engage with the curriculum.
• Implement and contribute to individual behaviour plans (IBPs) in collaboration with the SENCO.
• Use de-escalation techniques to manage and diffuse potentially disruptive situations.
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence, independence, and social skills.
• Work closely with class teachers to ensure that all students’ needs are met and that they feel supported and included in all activities.
Perks and Benefits:
You’ll benefit from ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and advance your career, all within a supportive environment where your contributions are truly valued. You’ll be part of a caring and inclusive team, engaging with a vibrant, multicultural school community that celebrates diversity.
